Jerzy Dudek at Liverpool (2001–2007) will always be remembered for one night: Istanbul 2005. Signed from Feyenoord, he was an athletic, sometimes erratic keeper—capable of brilliant saves and the odd wobble—but in big moments he delivered. In the 2005 Champions League final, he produced a legendary double save from Shevchenko in extra time, then his “spaghetti legs” antics helped Liverpool win the shootout. That performance wrote him into club folklore. He won the Champions League (2005), FA Cup (2006) and UEFA Super Cup (2005) with Liverpool, later becoming a respected senior figure in the squad.
