Peter Crouch at Liverpool (2005–2008) was an unlikely cult hero: 6'7", surprisingly silky, and a constant aerial threat. After a slow start—he went 19 games without a goal—he found his rhythm and became a key option in Rafa Benítez’s attack, bringing link-up play, flick-ons, and chaotic box presence. His big Liverpool moment is Europe: he scored six Champions League goals in 2006–07, including the winner away at PSV and a crucial strike at the Camp Nou vs Barcelona, helping Liverpool reach the final in Athens. He also delivered in domestic cup runs, leaving with real affection from the Kop.
