Philippe Coutinho at Liverpool (2013–2018) was the team’s creative spark: a silky playmaker who lived for that moment on the edge of the box—shift it onto his right foot and whip one into the far corner. Signed from Inter, he grew into Liverpool’s chief chance-creator, drifting in from the left or playing as a No.10, threading passes, combining in tight areas, and deciding games with long-range goals. His peak years under Klopp were electric, and he was central to the 2016 Europa League run. In January 2018 he moved to Barcelona for a huge fee, funding key building blocks of Liverpool’s next era.
