Isaac Andrews was one of Linfield’s notable figures from the 1960s and early 1970s. A Belfast-born midfielder, he is especially associated with the club’s famous 1961–62 “Seven Trophy” team, playing 18 times in that landmark season and collecting medals in the Irish League, North-South Cup and County Antrim Shield. He is also remembered for his part in Linfield’s 1970 European Cup tie against Manchester City, a link the club still highlights when celebrating former legends. In simple terms, Andrews is remembered less for headline statistics and more for being a combative, respected midfielder from one of Linfield’s most storied eras.
