Wes Morgan was the captain and defensive leader of Leicester City’s greatest era. Signed from Nottingham Forest in January 2012, he became captain later that year and went on to lead the club to the Championship title in 2013–14, the Premier League title in 2015–16, and the FA Cup in 2020–21. In the title-winning season, Morgan played every minute of all 38 league matches and scored crucial goals against Southampton and Manchester United. Across his Leicester career he made 323 appearances in all competitions. Powerful, reliable, and authoritative, Morgan gave Leicester belief, stability, and leadership at the heart of defence.
