Under manager Jimmy Adamson, Leeds United endured a difficult campaign in the First Division, finishing 11th after years of decline from their Don Revie-era glory. The squad included veterans like Paul Madeley, Frank Gray, and Eddie Gray, alongside emerging talents such as Tony Currie and Arthur Graham, but inconsistency plagued their performances. Leeds struggled for goals and stability, lacking the defensive discipline and intensity that had once defined them. In the FA Cup and League Cup, they were eliminated early. The season symbolised a transitional period, as the club searched for a new identity following Revie’s golden era.
