Pablo Hernández is a modern Leeds United cult hero and one of the key figures behind the club’s return to the Premier League. The classy Spanish playmaker joined on loan in 2016 (then signed permanently) and became the creative heartbeat in the Championship years—calm in tight spaces, clever between the lines, and a big-game specialist. His defining Leeds moments came under Marcelo Bielsa, especially in 2019–20 when his late goals (notably against Swansea in the run-in) helped drive Leeds to the Championship title and promotion. Fans still see him as the symbol of that promotion era.
