Marcelo Bielsa transformed Leeds United between 2018 and 2022, restoring identity, belief, and attacking football. After falling short in his first season, Bielsa led Leeds to the 2019–20 Championship title, ending a 16-year exile from the Premier League. His intense, man-to-man pressing style and tactical detail earned global admiration, while players like Kalvin Phillips and Patrick Bamford flourished. Leeds finished an impressive 9th in the Premier League in 2020–21, playing fearless football. Bielsa left in February 2022, but his impact is still felt—he’s widely regarded as one of the most important managers in Leeds’ modern history.
