It was the kind of goal that did not feel real even on replay: improvised, athletic, and perfectly clean. Juventus went on to lose 4–1 in Cardiff, which gives the moment an almost tragic edge. UEFA later named it their 2016–17 Goal of the Season, which felt completely deserved.
