Billy McKay is Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s modern No.9 and club record marksman across three spells. He first joined in 2011, exploded with 27 league goals in 2012–13, and returned again in 2021 to lead the line and the dressing room. A sharp penalty-box finisher rather than a flashy forward, McKay has delivered promotion pushes and cup runs, including key goals on the way to the 2023 Scottish Cup final run. Inverness list him on 356 appearances and 124 goals overall, and he’s also taken on a player/coach role as an assistant head coach.
