Billy Dodds took charge of Inverness Caledonian Thistle in June 2021 after joining Neil McCann’s staff earlier that spring and finishing the season with a strong run. He made Caley Thistle tough to play against, leaning on energy, organisation and quick attacking transitions. His high point was 2022–23, when he led Inverness to the Scottish Cup final (their first since winning it in 2015), ultimately losing to Celtic. Despite extending his stay in summer 2023, a poor start to the next campaign ended with the club terminating his contract in September 2023.
