Elliott Morris was one of Glentoran’s great modern servants. The goalkeeper joined from West Brom in 2002 and went on to spend 20 years at the Oval, becoming a constant through both strong and difficult periods. Glentoran’s Hall of Fame profile credits him with 743 appearances, which underlines his longevity and status as one of the club’s most enduring figures. He was known for consistency, bravery and leadership rather than showiness, and he also produced a memorable goal from inside his own half in 2019. In simple terms, Morris is remembered as a long-serving, trophy-winning keeper and one of Glentoran’s standout modern-era players.
