Jean Tigana was one of the most stylish and influential managers in Fulham’s modern history. Appointed in 2000, he transformed the team with a more technical, attack-minded approach and led Fulham to the 2000–01 First Division title in his first full season. Fulham’s official history says they won promotion with 101 points, taking the club into the Premier League. Tigana then established Fulham in the top flight and also led them to the 2002 UEFA Intertoto Cup, giving the club European qualification. He managed Fulham until 2003 and is remembered for bringing flair, ambition, and a more continental feel to Craven Cottage. For many supporters, he was the manager who turned Fulham into a polished Premier League side.
