Brian McBride is one of Fulham’s most loved modern strikers. He joined in January 2004 and quickly became a key figure, combining aerial strength, bravery, and relentless work rate. Fulham’s own coverage describes his impact as undeniable, and he became club captain in his final season. He scored 40 goals in 154 appearances for Fulham and won the club’s Player of the Year award in 2005 and 2006. He was also central to important survival campaigns, including the side that stayed up in 2007–08. His popularity was such that Fulham even named a bar at Craven Cottage “McBride’s.”
