Clint Dempsey was one of Fulham’s best modern players and arguably their most important attacking midfielder of the Premier League era. He played for the club from 2007 to 2012, scoring 50 Premier League goals in 189 appearances, which still makes him Fulham’s record Premier League scorer. He was central to Fulham’s strongest modern period, including the run to the 2010 Europa League Final. One of the club’s most iconic moments from that campaign was Dempsey’s famous chipped goal against Juventus at Craven Cottage. Dempsey is remembered for technique, swagger, and big goals. His 17-goal 2011–12 Premier League season was the highest by an American in the competition at the time.
