Mohamed Salah’s Fiorentina spell in early 2015 was the spark that relaunched his career after struggling for minutes at Chelsea. He joined on loan on 2 February 2015 as part of the Juan Cuadrado deal and immediately looked electric—direct running, confidence, and end product. He scored on his first start (vs Sassuolo), struck in the Europa League, and had a headline week with a winner vs Inter and a brace away to Juventus in the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg. After the season, Fiorentina tried to keep him, but he chose Roma instead—ending a short, explosive cameo in Florence.
