Goodison Park is Everton FC’s “Grand Old Lady”: opened in 1892 in Walton, it became one of English football’s most storied, tight-knit grounds. It’s famed for its old-school architecture—especially the Bullens Road stand’s Archibald Leitch lattice—and for being the first Football League stadium to host an FA Cup final (1894). Record crowd: 78,299 vs Liverpool on 18 September 1948; capacity is about 39,414. Since 2025, Everton’s men moved to Hill Dickinson Stadium, with Goodison continuing as the women’s home.
