Peter Crouch played for England from 2005 to 2010, winning 42 caps and scoring 22 goals—one of England’s best goals-per-game returns in the modern era. A 6'7" target man with underrated technique, he gave England a direct option: aerial dominance, smart lay-offs, and poacher’s finishing. His most famous England moment is the robot celebration, first unveiled after scoring against Hungary in 2006. Crouch was part of England’s squads at the 2006 World Cup and Euro 2008 qualifying cycle, and often changed games off the bench when England needed presence in the box.
