Mohamed Salah’s Egypt career is defined by carrying the attack for a decade-plus. He debuted in 2011 and quickly became the team’s captain and main scorer, producing goals in AFCON qualifiers and World Cup qualifying campaigns. At major tournaments, he helped drive Egypt to AFCON finals in 2017 and 2021, and he scored Egypt’s goals at the 2018 World Cup. He’s also made history by scoring in five consecutive AFCON editions (2017–2025). In Egypt’s all-time scoring list, he’s chasing record-holder Hossam Hassan (69).
