Eamonn Bannon was one of Dundee United’s most influential attacking midfielders, combining creativity with goals in the club’s great Jim McLean era. Arab Archive credits him with 440 appearances and 108 goals for United, placing him among the club’s leading scorers and appearance-makers. He helped United win the 1979 and 1980 League Cups and the 1982–83 league title, and he also earned Scotland caps during his time at Tannadice. He was especially effective against Hibernian, with Arab Archive listing him as United’s top scorer in that fixture on 9 goals. He remains one of the club’s most admired Hall of Fame figures.
