Patrick Hoban is one of the greatest players in Dundalk history and the club’s record goalscorer. Across two spells, he scored 150 goals for the Lilywhites, making him the most prolific striker the club has ever had. He was central to Dundalk’s modern golden period, helping them win three League of Ireland titles in 2014, 2018 and 2019, along with two FAI Cups and two League Cups. Individually, he finished as the league’s top scorer in both 2014 and 2018. In simple terms, Hoban combined relentless goalscoring with silverware and left Dundalk as one of the biggest names in the club’s history.
