Stephen Kenny was one of the most important managers in modern Derry City history. Across two spells, from 2004 to 2006 and 2007 to 2011, he delivered major success and helped restore the club as a force in Irish football. Under Kenny, Derry won the FAI Cup in 2006, the First Division title in 2010, and the League Cup four times — in 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2011. He also guided them into Europe and consistently kept them competitive at the top end of the league. In simple terms, Kenny brought trophies, strong standards and one of the club’s most successful modern managerial eras.
