Crystal Palace’s ZDS Cup was the club’s win in the 1991 Zenith Data Systems Cup, the sponsored name for the Full Members’ Cup. The competition ran in the years when English clubs were banned from Europe, so it sat below the FA Cup and League Cup in prestige. Palace won the final at Wembley on 7 April 1991, beating Everton 4–1 after extra time. Geoff Thomas scored in normal time, Everton equalised, then Ian Wright scored twice in extra time and John Salako added another. It was a major Wembley moment in Palace’s rise under Steve Coppell.
