Speroni is one of Crystal Palace’s most loved modern players. The Argentine goalkeeper was at the club from 2004 to 2019 and became a symbol of loyalty, consistency, and resilience across changing eras. Palace’s official site describes him as a club legend, and he was a huge figure in the side that won promotion through the 2013 Championship play-offs. He is especially remembered for outstanding shot-stopping and for being voted Palace Player of the Year four times. After retiring, he returned to the club in an academy coaching role in 2022, which underlines his lasting connection with Palace.
