Keith Houchen was a key figure in Coventry City’s greatest moment, the 1987 FA Cup win. A forward signed from Scunthorpe United in 1985, he became a club hero through that cup run, scoring five times on the way to Wembley, including the winner at Old Trafford against Manchester United and the decisive goal in the semi-final against Leeds. His place in Coventry folklore was sealed in the final against Tottenham, when he scored the famous diving header that made it 2–2 before City won 3–2 after extra time. That goal became one of the most celebrated in FA Cup final history.
