Kerry Dixon was one of Chelsea’s greatest strikers, starring from 1983 to 1992. Signed from Reading, he became the focal point of John Neal’s rebuilding side, combining aerial power, sharp finishing, and relentless work rate. Dixon scored 193 goals in all competitions, making him Chelsea’s third-highest scorer. He led the club to promotion in 1983–84, finished joint top scorer in the First Division the following season, and helped secure another promotion in 1988–89. Consistent, fearless, and decisive, Dixon defined Chelsea’s resurgence in the 1980s.
