Keith Peacock is one of the most loyal and respected figures in the history of Charlton Athletic. A skilful winger with pace and creativity, Peacock spent almost his entire playing career at Charlton between the 1960s and late 1970s, making more than 500 appearances for the club. He became known for his crossing ability, intelligent movement and consistency during a difficult era for Charlton. Peacock also holds a unique place in football history as the first substitute ever used in the English Football League after substitutions were introduced in 1965. After retiring as a player, he continued serving Charlton in coaching and assistant managerial roles for decades, working under managers including Alan Curbishley. His lifelong commitment to the club has made him a legendary figure among supporters.
