Moussa Dembélé joined Celtic from Fulham in 2016 and quickly became one of the most exciting strikers in Scottish football. A powerful, intelligent forward with excellent link-up play and clinical finishing, he scored 51 goals in 94 appearances. Dembélé thrived under Brendan Rodgers, starring in Europe and producing iconic performances—most notably a hat-trick against Rangers in 2016. He helped Celtic secure back-to-back domestic trebles and was vital in their unbeaten “Invincible” season. His physicality, pace, and composure made him a fan favourite before his £19.7 million move to Lyon in 2018, one of Celtic’s best-ever transfer profits.
