Gordon Strachan managed Celtic from June 2005 to May 2009, taking over after Martin O’Neill and quickly restoring domestic control. He won three straight Scottish Premier League titles (2005–06, 2006–07, 2007–08) plus the League Cup in 2005–06 and 2008–09, and the Scottish Cup in 2006–07. In Europe, his side made the Champions League last 16 twice, helped by strong Celtic Park nights (including the famous 1–0 win over Manchester United in 2006–07). He resigned after the 2008–09 season.
