Charlie Mulgrew returned to Celtic from Aberdeen in July 2010 as Neil Lennon’s first signing and spent six seasons as a trusted, versatile option. Comfortable at centre-back, left-back or holding midfield, he was also a major set-piece weapon, regularly chipping in with goals and assists. Across 2010–2016 he made 208 appearances and scored 29 goals, combining composure in possession with aggression in the air. He won five league titles and two Scottish Cups before leaving for Blackburn in 2016.
