Kelechi Iheanacho joined Celtic on 2 September 2025 on a one-year deal with a club option for another year, reuniting with Brendan Rodgers. A left-footed forward who can play as a No.9 or off a striker, he brings smart link play, sharp movement around the box, and calm finishing rather than pure line-leading chaos. Early on, his minutes were managed and disrupted by fitness/injury concerns, but he made an immediate impact by scoring on his debut off the bench (a late penalty winner at Kilmarnock).
