Si (Simon) Ferry was a Celtic youth product who signed a pro deal in January 2006 and was part of the U19 League-and-Cup double that season. His Celtic first-team involvement was limited to friendlies/pre-season because serious injury problems stalled his development, and he never made a competitive first-team appearance. To kick-start his career he went on loan to Swindon Town in 2009, impressed, and Celtic sold him to Swindon in August 2010 as part of a double deal.
