Lubo Moravčík is one of Celtic’s great cult heroes. Signed in 1998 at the age of 33, he arrived with little fanfare but quickly won supporters over with his vision, technique, and two-footed brilliance. He became famous for dazzling displays in big matches, especially against Rangers, and formed a superb understanding with Henrik Larsson. In four seasons at Celtic, Moravčík won two Scottish league titles, one Scottish Cup, and two League Cups. He made 129 appearances and scored 35 goals for the club. Elegant, inventive, and loved by fans, Lubo is remembered as one of the most gifted players of Celtic’s modern era.
