Jimmy Johnstone, affectionately known as “Jinky”, is regarded as the greatest player in the history of Celtic. A small, electrifying right winger, Johnstone was famed for his dribbling, balance, and ability to torment defenders. He was a key figure in Celtic’s dominance during the 1960s and 1970s, winning nine league titles and five Scottish Cups. Jinky played a starring role in Celtic’s 1967 European Cup triumph, earning Man of the Match in the final. Idolised by supporters, he remains the ultimate symbol of Celtic flair and joy.
