Efe Ambrose joined Celtic F.C. in 2012 and spent five seasons as a regular across centre-back and right-back roles. He was part of Celtic sides that dominated domestically, winning multiple league titles and lifting the 2012–13 Scottish Cup. In Europe he played Champions League football (including the era when Celtic faced elite opponents), and he even scored for Celtic—famously pouncing on a St Mirren error in 2012. Internationally, he won 51 caps for Nigeria national football team and helped Nigeria win AFCON in 2013.
