Sam Vokes’ Burnley legacy is about goals, promotions, and big moments. After first arriving on loan in 2011, he signed permanently in 2012 and became a key striker in Burnley’s rise under Sean Dyche. His standout season was 2013–14, when he scored 21 goals in 44 games as Burnley won promotion to the Premier League, even though injury cut his campaign short. He later scored 16 goals in Burnley’s 2015–16 Championship title season and was also part of the side that qualified for Europe in 2017–18. Vokes gave Burnley aerial strength, work rate, and reliable finishing in one of the club’s best modern eras.
