Harry Potts is one of the biggest figures in Burnley history, arguably the defining manager of the club’s post-war era. He managed Burnley from 1958 to 1970, then again from 1977 to 1979, and is most famous for leading them to the First Division title in 1959–60. Under Potts, Burnley also reached the 1962 FA Cup final and played in Europe, showing how high the club rose in that period. He had also played for Burnley earlier in his career, which deepened his connection to the club. Potts’ legacy is about loyalty, intelligence, and shaping one of Burnley’s greatest ever sides.
