Ben Mee’s Burnley legacy is about leadership, resilience, and representing the club’s modern identity. He joined permanently in 2012 after an initial loan spell and went on to make 376 appearances for Burnley, becoming one of the key figures of the Sean Dyche era. As captain, he helped lead the club through two Championship promotions, several strong Premier League survival campaigns, and even qualification for Europe in 2018. Mee was not flashy, but he gave Burnley organisation, toughness, and commitment every week. He became one of the clearest symbols of the club’s grit and overachievement in the 2010s and early 2020s.
