Andre Gray’s Burnley spell was about goals, promotion, and giving the team real cutting edge up front. He joined in 2015 for what was widely reported as a club-record fee, then became the key striker in Burnley’s 2015–16 Championship title-winning season. He scored 23 league goals for Burnley that campaign and was named Championship Player of the Year, helping fire the club straight back to the Premier League. In the top flight, he added important goals again, including Burnley’s first Premier League hat-trick in a 4–1 win over Sunderland in December 2016. Gray brought pace, sharp movement, and aggressive finishing to a crucial period in Burnley’s rise.
