Owen Coyle’s Burnley spell was about belief, momentum, and taking the club back to the top flight. Appointed in November 2007, he quickly changed the mood around the team and led Burnley to the 2009 Championship play-off final win over Sheffield United, ending the club’s 33-year absence from the top division. His side also made a memorable League Cup semi-final run in 2008–09, beating Chelsea and Arsenal along the way. Coyle brought attacking intent and optimism, making fans believe again. His time ended controversially when he left for Bolton in January 2010, but his role in Burnley’s revival remains huge.
