Scott Murray was a brilliant Bristol City winger, best remembered for pace, direct running and goals from wide areas. His standout season was 2002–03, when he scored heavily from midfield and became one of the most exciting players in the division. He earned a move to Reading, but later returned to Ashton Gate and remained a popular figure. Murray was also part of the 2006–07 promotion-winning squad under Gary Johnson, helping City reach the Championship. Energetic, entertaining and committed, he remains one of Bristol City’s most loved modern players.
