Fabian Hürzeler is Brighton’s current men’s first-team head coach. He was appointed in June 2024 on a contract running until June 2027 after impressing at St Pauli, whom he led to Bundesliga promotion. At 31, he became the youngest permanent head coach in Premier League history when he took charge of Brighton. Brighton appointed him to build on the club’s recent progress with an energetic, modern style of play. He is still listed by the club as head coach in 2026. In a Brighton context, Hürzeler is mainly remembered so far as the young coach chosen to follow Roberto De Zerbi and continue the club’s data-driven, progressive approach. His significance is more about promise and direction than long service or trophies at this stage.
