Marco Reus and Robert Lewandowski were two of the defining faces of Borussia Dortmund’s Klopp era, but in different ways. Reus, who returned to BVB in 2012, represented identity, flair, and loyalty: a Dortmund-born attacker who became captain and stayed central to the club for years, including the run to the 2013 Champions League final. Lewandowski, at Dortmund from 2010 to 2014, was the ruthless finisher of that team’s rise.
