Borussia Dortmund’s 1994/95 Bundesliga title was a breakthrough season under Ottmar Hitzfeld. It was BVB’s first Bundesliga-era championship and their fourth German title overall. Dortmund finished top of the table in a tense race, with the title effectively confirmed when Werder Bremen lost on the final day. The side mixed steel and quality, with key figures including Matthias Sammer, Andreas Möller, Michael Zorc, Karl-Heinz Riedle, Stefan Reuter, Stéphane Chapuisat, and goalkeeper Stefan Klos. That title mattered because it established Dortmund as Germany’s new power in the mid-1990s and set up the back-to-back championship that followed in 1995/96.
