Obafemi Martins scored one of the most famous goals in Birmingham City history in the 2011 League Cup Final against Arsenal. With the match level at 1–1 late on, a mix-up between Laurent Koscielny and goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny let Martins steal in and roll the ball into an empty net. The goal sealed a 2–1 win at Wembley, ending Birmingham’s 48-year wait for a major trophy. It instantly became a club-defining moment and a piece of Blues folklore, replayed endlessly by fans ever since.
