Bastian Schweinsteiger was Bayern Munich through and through. A product of the club’s youth system, he developed from an energetic wide player into one of Europe’s best central midfielders. Across his Bayern career, he made 500 appearances, won eight Bundesliga titles, seven DFB-Pokals, and the 2013 Champions League as part of the treble-winning team. More than the trophies, Schweinsteiger represented loyalty and identity, which is why many fans see him as one of Bayern’s true modern legends.
