Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was one of Bayern München’s great attacking leaders. He joined in 1974 and developed into a world-class striker known for pace, directness, finishing, and authority. Bayern’s Hall of Fame notes that he scored 162 Bundesliga goals in 310 games, making him the club’s second-highest Bundesliga scorer behind Gerd Müller. He won two European Cups, two Bundesliga titles, two German Cups, and the Intercontinental Cup as a player, while also becoming European Footballer of the Year in 1980 and 1981. Beyond his playing career, he later helped shape Bayern off the pitch as a long-serving chief executive.
