Uli Hoeneß is one of the most important figures in Bayern Munich history because he shaped the club both on and off the pitch. As a forward from 1970 to 1978, he won three Bundesliga titles and three consecutive European Cups with Bayern. After retiring, he became a key executive, later serving as general manager and president, helping turn Bayern into a financial and sporting powerhouse. Under his leadership, the club won dozens of major trophies and grew into one of Europe’s strongest institutions. Few people are as closely tied to Bayern’s identity, ambition, and long-term success as Hoeneß.
