Robert Lewandowski was Bayern Munich’s elite goalscorer of the 2010s and early 2020s. Joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2014, he combined ruthless finishing with intelligent movement, link play, aerial strength, and relentless consistency. He became the focal point of Bayern’s attack, winning eight straight Bundesliga titles and starring in the 2020 treble-winning side. Bayern’s records note that he broke Gerd Müller’s single-season Bundesliga mark by scoring 41 league goals in 2020/21, and later club records placed him on 344 goals for Bayern in all competitions. More than the numbers, Lewandowski gave Bayern a dependable, world-class edge in every major competition.
