Pep Guardiola coached Bayern Munich from 2013 to 2016 and left a huge tactical mark on the club. He succeeded Jupp Heynckes after the 2013 treble and kept Bayern dominant, winning the Bundesliga in all three of his seasons, plus two DFB-Pokals, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup. Bayern say his side played highly attractive, controlled football and won seven trophies in three years, while also reaching three straight Champions League semi-finals. The only real criticism was that he did not win the Champions League in Munich, but his positional play and tactical ideas strongly shaped Bayern’s modern style.
